Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2025

Please read these terms carefully before using CodeStorms Tools.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CodeStorms Tools ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free, trial, and paid plan subscribers.

2. Description of the service

CodeStorms Tools provides browser-based file processing tools (image conversion and compression, PDF manipulation, CSV operations, developer utilities, and others). The Service is provided over the internet and may be updated, changed, or discontinued at any time.

3. User accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until then.
  • Refunds are provided at our discretion. Partial-month refunds are not issued for cancellations during an active billing cycle.
  • Prices may change with reasonable notice. Price changes take effect at the next billing renewal.
  • Free trial periods are available to eligible accounts. Only one trial per user is permitted.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Upload, process, or distribute illegal content, including content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights you do not own.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or excessively automate requests beyond your plan's rate limits.
  • Circumvent security controls, authentication, or plan restrictions.
  • Use the Service for any purpose that could harm, disrupt, or overload our infrastructure.
  • Upload malicious files, including files containing malware, exploits, or harmful scripts.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

6. Rate limits and quotas

Each plan has daily run limits and file size quotas. These are documented on the pricing page. Exceeding limits will result in requests being rejected until the quota resets. We may apply additional rate limiting to protect platform stability.

7. Intellectual property

You retain all ownership rights to the files you upload. By uploading files, you grant us a limited, temporary licence to process them solely to provide the Service. We claim no ownership over your content.

The CodeStorms Tools platform, interface, trademarks, and codebase are owned by CodeStorms and may not be reproduced, copied, or distributed without written permission.

8. Temporary file processing

Files uploaded to the Service are processed to produce the output you request and are stored temporarily. Both input and output files are deleted automatically at run expiry. You are responsible for downloading your output files within the retention window. We are not liable for loss of data after expiry.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce results suitable for any particular purpose. For critical workflows, verify outputs before using them in production.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeStorms is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data or loss of profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CodeStorms is established. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
